Connecting with the Faeries
The Fairy Tale Witch 3-4 minutes
Warmer weather returns and surely you are starting to see some suspect ‘fairy’ activity going on. You may start to notice things missing. Only to find them in a place that you swear you have looked a thousand times before. If they are happy, your garden will flourish. If they are not, well, then you will have work a head of you. Having fairies around is a great thing. They have been thought to as above, make your garden grow, but they also ensure protection and abundance in prosperity. Perhaps now you are thinking that you would like to connect but do not know how. Read on for some tips.
Fairies in your Garden
Have you ever seen a yard so beautiful that it takes your breath away? The flowers have fragrant so strong that it beckons you. The landscape seems all too perfect. You begin to think that the owner must have a special talent or has been working without rest for months. If you look closer, you may find that it is the fae helping everything along.
Many of the beautiful gardens and yards that I have visited, pay respect to fairy. This can be done by adding some sparkle. Add a statue representing the fairy. Create a lovely fairy house to place in the garden. Add some shiny glass stones, a few crystals. Grow flowers that are bee and butterfly friendly. In the book “Enchantment of the Faerie Realm” by Ted Andrew, he recommends flowers to entice fairies. These include heather, iris, strawberries, lilac, carnation and many more. Fairies love when we support and care for our environment. Add glass balls, fairy castles and gnomes will add invitation.
Many folks will leave out offerings of different sorts to the Fae. Just like leaving offerings for your spirit guides and ancestors, fairies like alcohol, tobacco, bakery goods (if your energy has gone into them) and fresh cream. You can leave a crystal for them as well. Items should not be left out for more than 24 hours as the energy will have been taken in that time frame. Do not get upset if your offering gets interrupted. I have seen folks get really upset when an animal has disturbed their offering. This is okay and noting has been lost. Remember that fairies are keen to the land and animal kingdom. They do not mind sharing. For this reason, make sure and not to leave out anything with chocolate as that can be harmful to animals. Also refrain from putting out anything containing iron (jewelry or trinkets) as iron is very harmful to fairies.
The Knockers are fairies that will warn you when danger is near. They will do this by a loud knock that gets your attention. Laurie Cabot talks about this in her book, “Laurie Cabot’s Book of Spells and Enchantments.” She goes on to say, “To call the Knockers, find three small pebbles. Sit inside your front door. Say out loud, “Knockers come help me. Save me from any danger. Knock for me.” Throw each pebble, one at a time, at the front and back door of your home. When unexpected danger approaches, you will be warned by a loud knock.
To connect more with Fairies, were a perfume or oil that contains flowers that fairies are drawn to. Take good care of your yard. Have a gentle touch. Love often, love much.
